Permanent Reed Rush

Permanent Reed Rush

Traditional reed players carry a piece of reed rush in their instrument case. The rush is a small piece of a special reed which is abrasive and allows the player to file the thickness and length of the reed to fit individual preferences. Due to the slight variations in most reeds, professionals seek to produce reeds with a similar sound. However, these traditional reed rushes eventually wear down.

The traditional abrasive reed rush is replaced with a Permanent Reed Rush, a small file with very fine abrasive surfaces. These surfaces are configured in various shapes that allow the modification of the reed's length and thickness. The total length of the file and handle is 4 inches. The Reed Rush is packaged with a pocket clip.
